The USAID TB CARE I program, implemented in Kyrgyzstan by KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, is designed to assist the Kyrgyz Republic in implementation of the National Tuberculosis Program and provides assistance in the following technical areas: universal access to care, laboratory quality, infection control, programmatic management of drug-resistant tuberculosis and monitoring and evaluation. Key interventions include updating TB control policies to be in line with modern international standards, building the capacity of local care providers to deliver a high quality of care, and providing mentoring and supervisory support to partners in the application of effective modern TB control practices nationwide.
USAID Dialogue on HIV and TB Project is a five-year regional program aimed at reducing the spread of the HIV and tuberculosis (TB) epidemics in Central Asia by improving health behaviors among most-at-risk populations (MARPs): people who inject drugs, sex workers, men who have sex with men, people living with HIV/AIDS; prisoners and migrants.
The USAID Quality Health Care Project (QHCP) is a five-year program to improve the health status of Central Asians by building the capacity of public health systems, institutionalizing quality improvement methodologies at all levels of health services management, and empowering communities to respond to health needs. The Quality Project provides technical assistance, training, equipment and commodities to improve management, financing, and implementation of health services related to tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and maternal and child health services and other public health threats.
