The Kyrgyz Republic Parliamentary Strengthening Program (KPSP) is a five-year technical assistance initiative funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID).
The USAID Counter-Trafficking Project contributed to the efforts of the Central Asian Republics to address human trafficking by promoting and reinforcing gender-sensitive prevention and protection measures for victims of trafficking. The project was launched in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in 2010 and in the Kyrgyz Republic in October 2011.

The project works to promote access to information by assisting the regional public broadcaster Yntymak and national public broadcaster OTRK to deliver accurate and impartial news.
The program provides targeted assistance to improve independence, capacity, and integrity of Kyrgyzstan’s judiciary.
The program is designed to foster effective collaboration between civil society, private business leaders, and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic resulting in a more responsible and accountable government as well as a more credible and sustainable civil society.
