USAID’s Property Rights Program (PRP) aims to improve the legal framework and institutional practices and procedures governing property rights, in order to make it easy and straightforward to acquire, register, use and transfer property in Kosovo. The program is working in close partnership with the Government of Kosovo, selected municipalities, and other relevant local and international stakeholders.
USAID’s Justice System Strengthening Program (JSSP) is a four-year rule of law program that builds upon USAID’s prior efforts to advance the rule of law in Kosovo and ensure that the justice system operates in a professional, efficient, and accountable manner. The program focuses on promoting a judicial system that adheres to high standards of independence, impartiality, integrity, accountability, and transparency, and on supporting the functioning and integration of judicial structures in the North.
The government-to-government agreement with municipality Gjilan/Gnjilane will improve the local government service delivery performance.
The Transformational Leadership Program (TLP) provides educational opportunities for Kosovo’s most promising students in order to develop a cadre of leaders to drive significant economic, political, and social development. This will be accomplished through university scholarships, partnerships, and student and faculty exchanges.
This project was designed to replace the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency’s (KFVA) multiple redundant and inefficient veterinary and phytosanitary systems with a new, unified system that will ensure better information exchange and interception of animal and plant products.
The outcome of the activity will have a positive impact on international trade, specifically regarding easier and safer movement of goods with animal and plant origin.
