WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Thomas O. Melia will travel to Albania, Montenegro,Serbia, and Kosovo May 14 - 24, 2016.
On this trip, Melia will meet with government officials, civil society leaders, entrepreneurs, and business leaders to discuss how U.S. assistance is responding to each country's development and economic challenges. These meetings will focus on USAID's ongoing efforts to support each country's Euro-Atlantic integration by strengthening democracy and the management of economic institutions. Specific topics will include the fight against corruption, strategies for assuring the region's energy requirements, and the ongoing crisis with respect to migrants and refugees.
