World School Milk Day Kick-Off in Ethiopia

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S. Feed the Future Initiative for food security and nutrition, today kicked off the first of five school milk day events in four regions at the SOS School in Mekelle, capital of Tigray Region. A second school milk day will be held in Adigrat, Tigray at St. Angela Elementary School on October 25th.

Today, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Agribusiness Market Development (AGP-AMDe) program, a U.S. Feed the Future initiative, handed over to Becho Woliso, Ambo & Errer farmers’ cooperative unions (FCU) grain grading equipment to help smallholder member farmers, notably in wheat and maize, decrease post-harvest losses and increase the crop quality.
