USAID, together with FHI 360, is hosting the first West Africa Digital Development Forum on Monday, January 26, 2015 in Accra, Ghana.
This is the Workshop Report from the Stakeholders Technical Workshop for Key Populations in West and Central Africa that took place May 27 – 29, 2014, in Accra, Ghana. The workshop brought together key stakeholders working with key populations in multiple countries in the West and Central Africa region to share and discuss the latest experience in programming and policy making, especially for men who have sex with men and transgender people, female sex workers, and people who use drugs.
At a ceremony on November 14 in Tamale, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded scholarships to 11 students from the University for Development Studies (UDS). These scholarships are granted through the USAID West Africa Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene Program (USAID WA-WASH) to support students pursuing Master’s Degrees in WASH-related fields.
The United States Government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), today launched Agir pour la Planification Familiale (AgirPF) in conjunction with the unveiling of the Government of Côte d’Ivoire’s National Family Planning Costed Implementation Plan (CIP). The CIP intends to achieve more than double the current percentage of women in the country using modern contraceptives by 2020.
