Tashkent, Uzbekistan – December 14, 2012, Business executives and government leaders discussed implementation of foreign economic activities, including customs regulations, pricing, and taxation of export-import operations as part of a round table on Practical Issues of Implementing Foreign Trade Activities in Uzbekistan. The round table, organized by the Federation of accountants, auditors and consultants of Uzbekistan (FAACU) in partnership with USAID’s Regional Economic Cooperation Project, was attended by seventy representatives of business, state authorities, and international organizations.
Dilnoza Sultanova, Chairperson of the Federation of accountants, auditors and consultants of Uzbekistan shared her perspective on this important dialogue. ”Development of foreign economic activities provides for general economic growth and increases the well-being of Uzbek citizens. This round table was a great opportunity to increase public awareness of the regulatory environment concerning foreign trade activities in Uzbekistan and foster an efficient dialogue between the State and business community.”
