USAID and the Association for Investigation and Integral Development AIDER celebrated the achievements of the project Social Capital for Forestry Management in 5 cacataibo indigenous communities and 6 population centers in Padre Abad and Irazola districts in the Ucayali Region.
Thanks to the collaborative work with AIDER and our communitarian partners, technical, economic, organizational and environmental capacities have been strengthened; promoting collective development, sustainable management of natural resources and biodiversity conservation.
Productive activities such as transformation from cacao into chocolate, products made of latex (vegetal leather) obtained from the Shiringa tree and basketry from the bombonaje plant were developed by the communities.
