There were present USAID Peru Mission Director Mr. Lawrence Rubey, the Executive President of DEVIDA Mr. Alberto Otarola, the Vice Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Mr. Cesar Sotomayor, the President of the Peruvian Association of Cacao Producers Mr. Francisco Rivas Chamba, and the representative of the International Cacao Organization Mr. Moises Gomez. 

The objective of the salon is to showcase the Peruvian cacao value as an original product with wide genetic diversity from the peruvian Amazon, promote the internal consumption of chocolate and inform about its benefits; promote the integration and internationalization of Peruvian producers and companies, and contribute to the economic, social and technological development at the national level.
