On April 12, 2011 the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham) have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate on issues related to improving the investment climate in Azerbaijan. Jonathan Conly, USAID/Caucasus Mission Director, and Nargiz Nasrullayeva-Muduroglu, AmCham Executive Director, signed the memorandum.
Nearly 40 young people with disabilities from Baku and the regions performed in the Fifth Annual “Life is Like a Show” Theater Festival of Youth with Disabilities, which took place today at the Actors’ House. On 26 November 2010, a new modern Feed Analysis Laboratory was opened in Agjabedi, a town in the central region of Azerbaijan. The primary goal of the feed analysis laboratory is to increase milk production, daily weight gain for beef and poultry, as well as egg production in farms in the central region of the country, where the share of livestock and poultry rearing amounts to 50-60% of total farming activities.
On November 5, 2010 a team from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) headed by Keith Simmons, USAID/Azerbaijan Acting Country Coordinator, visited the Financial Monitoring Service under the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan (FMS). On Friday, October 8th,a fish feed mill was officially reopened at Girkhbulag Fish Farm, just outside of Sheki.
