Skopje - On October 18th in Tetovo, USAID launched its Small Business Expansion Project (SBEP) in the Polog Region. The project’s goal is to work in collaboration with the private sector and local government institutions to drive regional and local economic development, and In Polog, it will initially focus on agriculture, rural tourism and construction.

Skopje - The USAID project Improving Energy Efficiency for the Low-Income Housing Sector is helping residents of low-income housing in Kumanovo to lower their energy consumption and costs, as well as to strengthen their homeowners associations. Today, the Mayor of Kumanovo, Mr. Zoran Damjanovski, and Project Director Zoran Kostov of Habitat for Humanity Macedonia signed a memorandum on their cooperation in implementing the project.
Skopje - Today, the Municipality of Tetovo established a Local Economic and Social Council (LESC) with support from the USAID Youth Employability Skills (YES) Network project. The LESC will serve as an advisory and consultative body to the municipality on issues such as employment of youth and the link between labor market needs as defined by employers and the skills developed by young Macedonians during their formal education.
