On April 5, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., a Job Fair will be held at the National Library (208 Abdrahmanova St., second floor) for youth seeking new employment opportunities. The job fair is sponsored by the Youth Peer Education Network (Y-Peer) and will bring 250 job-seeking youth together with representatives from 20 companies operating in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as business experts and consultants.  Y-Peers goal is to help young people become more competitive in the job market through the development of professional employment skills. The job fair is part of Y-Peer’s project titled, the Time of Your Possibilities and is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through its Jasa.kg program and implemented by the International Youth Foundation (IYF). 

At the job fair, young job seekers will have the opportunity to learn about internships and job vacancies at a range of local businesses. The youth will also be able to participate in a flash mob called All Occupations Are Important, hear from successful professionals on how to improve their skills for employment, and receive career guidance. Y-Peer plans to organize similar job fairs and visits to companies four times throughout the year.
