The U.S. Agency for International Development’s Agricultural Learning Exchange for Asian Regional Networking project brings smallholder farmers together to learn about innovative technologies that help increase crop production. The three-year, approximately $1 million project is a part of the Feed the Future Initiative, which aims to reduce poverty and malnutrition through improved agricultural and nutritional practices.

Today, Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health with the support of its U.S. partners, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U.S. CDC), launched a new initiative to increase HIV testing and treatment among men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender (TG) women in Thailand.

Women entrepreneurs from around the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region this week launched the Gender Responsive Economic Actions for the Transformation of women (GREAT Women) in ASEAN initiative to promote their products for greater sales and business growth that can employ more workers and improve livelihoods.

The Scaling for Impact learning event encompassed a two-day Summit with internal and external parties, followed by a three-day interactive training for USAID staff. The Summit component provided a unique opportunity to bring together a wide variety of organizations and sectors, including development professionals, accelerators and investors, researchers, donors and governments, innovators, and private sector partners.
