As we look ahead to the International Anti-Corruption Day, marked annually on December 9, more than 100 Armenian media professionals and students will hear about cutting-edge technology for investigative reporting to help expose and combat corruption thanks to a three-day media conference in Yerevan with 16 respected experts from around the globe.

The Innovative Solutions and Technologies Center (ISTC), which has been supporting the development of Armenia’s IT sector since 2014, opened its new home on Thursday, November 10, welcoming its first guests to its new 1,000 square-meter state-of-the-art premises on the Yerevan State University Campus.

More than 700,000 Armenians have access to an improved social safety net thanks to the USAID-funded Pension Reform Implementation Program (PRIP), which marked the completion of its activities on November 9. The four-year program worked with the Government of Armenia and local partners to make the country’s social protection system more efficient, transparent, and financially stable.

On September 20, Save the Children in Armenia organized the close-out event of the Livelihood Improvement through Fostered Employment (LIFE) for People with Disabilities program, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

On July 20, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Armenia (Coca-Cola HBC Armenia) and the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia signed a Memorandum of Understanding, aimed at improving water stewardship across Armenia and particularly contributing to conservation, effective use and management of water resources in Ararat valley.

Yerevan, Armenia - On February 26, Save the Children in Armenia hosted a national conference in Yerevan to discuss the Model of Inclusive Vocational Education and Employment for People with Disabilities (PWD) and to identify remaining gaps in fostering equal employment opportunities for the PWDs. Artem Asatryan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Karen Hilliard, USAID Armenia Mission Director, Hakob Hakobyan, Chairperson of the NA Standing committee on Social Affairs, and Arsen Stepanyan, Save the Children Country Director addressed the participants of the conference.

Yerevan, Armenia – During a public event on February 10, USAID announced the launch of the Advanced Science and Partnerships for Integrated Resource Development Project (ASPIRED) – a three-year initiative designed to curb the rate of groundwater abstraction in the Ararat Valley to sustainable levels. USAID Armenia Mission Director Karen Hilliard, Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Simon Papyan, representatives of the central government, regional authorities of Armavir and Ararat provinces, and local and international organizations attended the event.
