Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator of Public Affairs
Wendy Coursen serves as Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator for Public Affairs. In this position, she serves as the senior USAID official responsible for all Agency public affairs activities, including public engagement, strategic campaigns and content development and distribution, and field communications. Prior to this assignment, she served as the Director of Strategic Communications in USAID's Bureau for Legislative and Public Affairs. She has expertise in building teams and has led communications initiatives in food security and global health. Ms. Coursen graduated from the Cronkite School at Arizona State University and served as a Fulbright Fellow in Skopje, Macedonia.
