Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator
David Stanton is a public health leader and the former Director of the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID’s) Office of HIV/AIDS. He has 19 years of experience working with USAID’s HIV/AIDS program and over 30 years of experience in public health, including working on sexually transmitted infections, HIV and AIDS treatment, and clinical epidemiology. David has 4 years of overseas experience in West Africa. Additionally, he served on the transition team that established the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator at the U.S. Department of State.
