For more than 50 years, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has partnered with more than 70 countries around the globe to support their family planning programs, including countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Our work in increasing access to reproductive health services, including voluntary family planning, has had profound health, economic, and social benefits for families and communities worldwide. As an indicator of our success, USAID "graduated" many of these countries from family planning assistance and is proud to release technical issue briefs providing an overview and history of our work in 13 countries in the LAC region.
