On July 17, USAID’s Sustainable Management of the HIV/AIDS Response and Transition to Technical Assistance (SMART TA) project, in conjunction with the Blue Sky Men MSM network, the Vietnam Association of People Living with HIV (VNP+), and the Ho Chi Minh City AIDS Control Center launched a public HIV testing event for MSM and transgender people (TG).  The event, advertised on the Blue Sky Facebook fan page, featured live performances by notable TG and MSM community members in addition to lay testing in a MSM and TG-friendly setting.  Thirty-three attendees were tested during the event, which identified three new positive cases.  With more than 100 attendees, the evening was successful in helping identify potential new cases and confirming the effectiveness of the Blue Sky Facebook fan page to spark action.
