In 2015 and 2016 SAV’s Personnel Department and the GIG Program reviewed the organizational structure of SAV’s divisions  to improve its operational efficiency. A GIG consultant, who worked extensively with SAV, recommended establishing independent divisions focused on specialized audits (e.g., performance audits). This week the SAV Personnel Department informed the GIG Program that the recommendations were accepted and that performance audit divisions had been officially established in selected audit departments and regional offices. The establishment of SAV’s independent divisions focusing on specialized audits improves the quality of the evaluation of public finance management.
