Through its Afghanistan Vouchers for Increased Production in Agriculture Plus project, USAID employs more than 1,600 Afghans; capitalizes on its close working relationship with the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock's (MAIL) national, provincial, and district authorities; and continues to use private-sector Afghan business distribution networks.
