Ashgabat, December 1, 2014 – Today, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, launched a seminar to introduce Turkmenistan’s civil servants to best practices in the organization of large international conferences and events. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and U.S. Embassy Chargé d'Affaires Paul Poletes opened the seminar. The seminar is being conducted within the framework of USAID’s Governance Strengthening Project. Over the course of five days, five experts from the United States will share their expertise on topics related to large-scale event planning and enable 70 participants, including representatives of various government ministries, to learn about managing large scale business, sporting, cultural, and educational events.
