Feed The Future is the U.S. Government's global hunger and food security initiative focused on specific countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In Tanzania, USG assistance will support MKUKUTA, the National Strategy for Growth and Poverty Reduction. This represents a critical effort as the country is not presently on target meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for reducing the percentage of people below the food poverty line and halving the number of people below the income poverty line.
