Elliott and Akbar Pesnani, the Aga Khan Development Network Resident Representative, signed a new global development alliance entitled Economic and Social Connections: A Multi-Input Area Development Financing Facility for Tajikistan to be implemented by the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF).
U.S. Ambassador Susan M. Elliott presented medical equipment for the people of Khatlon region to Head of the Department of organization of health services for mothers and children, and family planning of Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population Dr. Sherali Rahmatulloev. Representatives of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and Mercy Corps International participated in the ceremony along with representatives of Khatlon regional and district governments and district health center personnel.
