Ziada Ali has been farming rice for 10 years in the Kilombero district, where she used to harvest 10 bags of rice from her 2 acre plot. Since receiving training from USAID’s NAFAKA project, she now harvests 60 bags. Ziada is one of many examples of farmers who are increasing agricultural productivity and learning about good agricultural practices, transforming their livelihoods from running small scale farms to having real impact.
