On April 23, the U.S. Government, Coca-Cola Philippines through the Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. (CCFPI), and the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) have entered into a partnership that will enable more Filipinos to access safe drinking water.

U.S. Embassy Manila’s United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with Isabela City, Basilan is taking a stand for a cleaner environment and healthier communities by launching a new septage management program in Barangay Tabiawan, Isabela City. The project will improve the City’s septage services, provide thousands of people with access to clean water and sanitation and prevent water-borne diseases.
On April 7, 2015, the U.S. Embassy Manila’s United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director Gloria D. Steele and the Philippines’ Climate Change Commission (CCC) led by Secretary Mary Ann Lucille Sering turned over Geographic Information System (GIS) generated maps to the Province of Batanes. The high resolution maps are a part of the U.S. government’s support to several CCC “eco-towns” throughout the Philippines.
On March 24, 2015, in recognition of World TB Day, Embassy Manila’s U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will honor the Philippines Department of Health (DOH) for its achievements in the global fight against tuberculosis (TB), which annually kills 27,000 Filipinos and 1.5 million people worldwide. Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Cuisia Jr. will accept the TB Champion award on behalf of DOH at a ceremony to be held in Washington, D.C.
