Over the life of Women in Economy (WIE) program, it has incorporated best ICT practices in the design, development and implementation phases of all ICT related solutions for WIE programmatic activities, especially through the development of the WIE's Knowledge Management Portal (KMP) for WIE staff and beneficiaries to ensure that the design, documentation, development and testing of ICT infrastructure and applications realize the delivery of a high-end ICT value proposition, in line with the organization's requirements and vision. The KMP will be secure, multi-language, modular, efficient and database driven web application using the latest web development technologies.
USAID’s Promote: WIE is a four years initiative that improves the growth of women-owned businesses, provide training and technical assistance to address women’s’ business needs.
WIE partners with local educational, vocational, and technical training providers to offer workplace skills, career counseling, internships, and job placement to educated women between the ages of 18 and 30 so they can gain work experience, secure new or better positions, and improve the workplace environment for women.
