Skopje - Today in Strumica, USAID launched its new Micro and Small Enterprises Project for the South East Region. The project supports the growth of entrepreneurs and micro and small enterprises through exchange of experience, consultancy, export support and investments.
Skopje - Today, December 18, 2012, the USAID Interethnic Integration in Education Project, together with Primary School Krste Misirkov and the Municipality of Gazi Baba, celebrated the completion of renovations at the school. The process of refurbishment, financially supported by United States European Command (EUCOM) and USAID, created a better learning environment for interethnic integration in education.

This is one of six job clubs that USAID helped renovate and equip in the Centers for Employment in different municipalities. USAID, through the Youth Employability Skills Network Project, has provided resource materials and books, as well as IT equipment and new furniture with a total value of about 8,000 USD per Job Club.
Skopje - On December 15, USAID launched its new Municipal Climate Change Strategies project during the Ninth Annual Meeting of Environmental and Sustainable Development Civil Society Organizations organized by the Macedonian Green Center. The project will focus on four municipalities, selected through a competitive application process, in the regions of Macedonia most affected by climate change.
Skopje - Today, the USAID Roma Education Project, together with partner primary schools from Skopje, Prilep and Kumanovo, organized an event to mark the successful completion of the first round of small school intercultural initiatives. These activities were designed as part of school extracurricular activities where students from mixed ethnic origin worked together in learning more about customs and traditions in different cultures. Such activities enabled greater student interaction and inclusive school environment.

Skopje - Today a three-day international conference organized by the USAID Business Without Borders project began. The conference is a unique platform where participants from the public, private, civil-society and academia sectors will exchange regional experiences and elaborate policies for SME development, hence further paving the way for overall economic growth.
