Chargée d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Pristina Colleen Hyland spoke at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at OSA Termosistem on October 13th, inaugurating a new, more energy efficient production line. OSA produces a range of thermal-technical equipment for cooling, heating, and ventilation.
A USAID grant of $27,500 enabled the company to finance the purchase of polyurethane injection equipment for all of their insulated products, replacing their highly-outdated technology.
This technology upgrade increased OSA’s energy efficiency, marketability, and competitiveness, and we expect that the new equipment will expand sales and create at least 28 new jobs.
USAID EMPOWER Private Sector program aims to increase competitiveness and facilitate inclusive job creation in selected growth-ready sectors, including: wood processing, apparel, information and communications technology, energy efficiency, and outdoor tourism.
