The USAID Small Infrastructure for Water and Sanitation Program assisted the Government of Kosovo to publicize water conservation messages on March 22, which is World Water Day on the UN calendar. The USAID program supported the printing of 300 leaflets and 60 posters explaining the importance of the responsible use of water. The distribution of the posters and leaflets was carried out by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning/Water Department in cooperation with Shoqata e ujesjellesve dhe kanalizimit te Kosoves (SHUKOS), the Water and Waste Water Works Association of Kosovo. USAID supports various initiatives to improve water conservation in Kosovo, expand and improve distribution networks and increase payments of water bills by users.
