Brings More Kosovo Students into Digital Age: Over the past two years, the USAID Basic Education Program has succeeded in establishing student technical support clubs at 22 Kosovo primary schools to maintain the schools’ digital equipment and to train other young people to do the same. The initiative has become so popular that the RTK public television network has launched a 10-part series of programs called “21st Century Students”. The first episode was filmed at a school in Gjakovë/Djakovica and aired last Saturday (April 13). The program shows club members fixing internet connections and installing computer software during math and physics classes. The USAID Basic Education Program started the technician clubs to educate students in the principles of digital technology and to assist schools to use more such technology in the classroom.
