The Mais Unidos Group, a partnership between the American companies established in Brazil and the US Diplomatic Mission through USAID, will present its Social Investment Report on November 13^th at AMCHAM in São Paulo.

The Group will present the results of its activities along with the strategic partnerships with Brazilian government. The report brings data on social projects that American companies in Brazil are jointly involved. Since 2006 the Group implements projects, share best practices and establish partnerships. The Group invests annually in initiatives that promote economic, social and environment development. 37 U.S companies participated in the Report. Approximately, U$100 million was invested benefiting 8.5 million people. The year base of the report is 2012

Paulo Cunha, co-president of the Mais Unidos Group and president of Motorola Solutions Brazil will give his welcoming remarks. Rosângela Melatto, member of the Group’s Steering Committee and Social Responsibility Manager for Latin American at Intel, will present the Mais Unidos Social Investment Report.  CEO’s, VP’s and the senior executives from the following companies are expected to attend : Motorola Solutions, PayPal, Qualcomm, Cummins, AMD, Microsoft, Nike, Internal, GE, Citi, Burson-Marsteller, HP, KPMG, Chevron, Cargill, Google, IBM, International paper, P&G, Cisco and others.

“The Mais Unidos Social Investment Report it’s an important document that presents how and where the American companies are making their social investments, as well as, its results and impacts on the lives of millions of Brazilians. The Report couldn’t have been done without the coordination of USAID. We’re happy with the progress of the Group and optimistic that we can contribute even more”, says Cunha.

The Group and USAID are developing strategic partnerships with Brazilian government in the Education area focusing on English teaching. The program will benefit 100 thousand Brazilian in 2014.
