Decades after the end of the war, the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) remains tense at all levels of society in all local communities, which remain largely segregated by ethnicity. School-age children from the country’s two entities, Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, rarely have the opportunity to travel and meet children from municipalities or entities other than their own.

Sarajevo, April 7, 2014 – The U.S. Government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is pleased to announce that USAID is promoting tourism and natural resources in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), and the potential economic opportunities in this sector, through its April campaign, “Tourism in BiH: Get on board! The possibilities are endless.”

The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina (USAID/BiH), is seeking quotations from organizations or individuals with experience providing professional public relations services to help the Mission develop and implement a series of monthly public awareness campaign for nine months, beginning with April 2014, and related services, as more specifically described in Section B (Scope of Work) of this RFQ.

Under the auspices of a Cooperative Agreement between USAID and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ (NARUC), NARUC has launched a partnership activity with three energy regulatory commissions of BiH: the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC), the Federation Electricity Regulatory Commission (FERC), and Republika Srpska Energy Regulatory Commission (RSERC). This partnership, funded by USAID/BiH, forms a part of NARUC’s Energy Regulatory and Security Program in Europe and Eurasia.
